Stephen Vick

Managing Director / Senior Adviser

Stephen is the Managing Director and founder of Nexus Private Wealth Management. Stephen holds a Bachelor of Business majoring in Banking/Finance & Accounting, a Diploma of Financial Planning, and a Diploma of Finance & Mortgage Broking Management. He also holds Specialist SMSF accreditation, an Australian Credit License, a Real Estate Agency License, and is a member of the REIQ. Stephen has spent over 20 years in the finance industry and has held State Manager Roles with Australian Finance Group (AFG), Australian Unity, and Lawfund Australia. Prior to establishing Nexus Private, Stephen worked for MLC as an adviser to financial planners.
It’s Stephen’s driving motivation to help people understand Australia’s complex financial system, and take advantage of the many opportunities and strategies available so that they may attain financial independence and achieve their life dreams. It is rumoured that Stephen regularly sings in the car and knows the words to every David Bowie song.

Adrian McPhee

Financial Adviser

Adrian is a Senior Financial Adviser for Nexus Private Wealth Management. Adrian holds a Bachelor of Commerce and a Bachelor of Law from the University of Queensland as well as a Diploma of Financial Planning and an Advanced Diploma of Financial Planning. He also holds TASA and DomaCom accreditation. Adrian started his career in the finance industry specialising in SMSF advice before acquiring experience developing and implementing comprehensive financial planning strategies for a diverse range of clients. He is also an avid student of the economy which provides him with a broad frame of reference and the ability to address economic issues in both the domestic and international markets. Prior to working in finance, Adrian had various roles in the retail and electronics industries while he was completing his studies.

Adrian is committed to providing clients with tailored strategies and solutions to help them achieve their financial goals and objectives. He firmly believes that all Australians have the capacity to secure a more prosperous future, and he seeks to help clients realise this outcome by working with them in a consultative manner so they can unlock their true financial potential.

In his spare time, Adrian enjoys spending time with his family and friends, playing tennis and writing short stories.

Natasha Cook

Accountant

Natasha is a Chartered Accountant with several years’ experience working in public practice/taxation accounting and corporate finance in Australia and the UK. With a high attention to detail and an investigative mind, Natasha enjoys getting hands on gaining an intimate understanding of her client’s complete financial circumstances. This enables her to interpret results accurately and provide informed advice that is forward focused. With a passion for numbers and a belief that accounting is fun, Natasha takes an enthusiastic approach to all client engagements.
Natasha holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting Major), Graduate Diploma in Chartered Accounting, is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia and New Zealand, a registered Tax Agent and is currently studying a Diploma in Financial Planning.

Alex Lyall

Lending Manager

Alex has 10 years experience in the finance industry starting his career as a lending administration assistant and working his way through the ranks to become a fully qualified Mortgage Broker. His roles have varied from those in small business to credit manager for a major financial institution. This has given him a rich understanding of the ins and outs of structuring finance and getting loans approved.
Alex has completed his Diploma of Finance and Mortgage Broking Management and is an authorized credit representative of Nexus Private Home Loans. Alex prides himself on delivering exceptional customer service and does absolutely everything in his power to ensure his clients’ success. He has great attention to detail and a passion for budgeting. He even enjoys spreadsheets. In his spare time Alex enjoys motorcycle riding, cooking and spending time with his young family.

Heidi McCoullough

Head of Property Advice

Starting her career in residential construction in Canberra, Heidi has always taken a keen interest in anything property related. She has an eye for design, quality and detail, and is passionate about delivering a high level of service to her clients.

With Heidi’s diverse range of experience in the property and construction industry she is ideally placed to assist all of Nexus’ clients with any property related matter – from the acquisition process to pre-settlement inspections through to post settlement enquiries.

Whilst specialising in property market research, and negotiating with Vendors, Heidi is able to source the right property investments to suit any investment portfolio requirement. Her passion is identifying opportunities that reflect specific investment metrics set by the client or financial adviser, that are well priced and have significant capital growth drivers.

Heidi enjoys fine food, long lunches, sport and spending time with her family outdoors.

Lauren McDonnell

Solicitor

Lauren McDonnell, is a Senior Solicitor with a wealth of knowledge on structuring clients affairs to provide superior asset protection and tax efficiencies as they apply to Estate Planning. She holds a Masters of Applied Law, Bachelor of Law, and a Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice. With a broad range of experience personally investing in real estate and shares, Lauren offers a personal touch and a pragmatic edge to wealth protection and legal advice.

Sunil Ramesh

Paraplanner

Sunil, or Sunny as he’s affectionately known, is the cash flow modelling and technical guru at Nexus Private Wealth Management. He holds a Bachelor of Engineering from the University of Queensland, a Diploma in Financial Planning and Advanced Diploma in Financial Planning. He is also currently completing his Graduate Diploma in Financial Planning.

Sunil has previously worked as a Financial Adviser which has provided him with experience in developing and implementing comprehensive financial planning strategies for a diverse range of clients. This experience, in conjunction with his education background and technical expertise, has equipped him with a broad skill set that enables him to work closely with the advice team at Nexus to provide tailored financial strategies and solutions to clients.

Sunil is a Liverpool F.C fan and plays soccer competitively on the weekends. He also enjoys spending time with family and friends in his spare time.

Summah Barbour

Client Services Manager

Summah is the Client Services Manager at Nexus Private and is currently completing her Diploma of Financial Services. With extensive experience in customer service and an ability to understand what is important to people, her efficient approach and genuine interest in helping others to succeed inspires absolute trust from our clients. Prior to joining the Nexus Private family, Summah held various client service roles in the finance industry. She also has a background in Marketing and Public Relations, which has allowed her to lend her knowledge and skills amongst various facets of the Nexus brand.
Summah cites the most rewarding part of her role as simply being able to help people have the most pleasant experience as clients of Nexus Private. In her spare time, Summah enjoys travelling, French cheese and cooking.

Linda Cornacchia

Client Service Manager

Linda has worked in client services for over 15 years with 10 of those being in the financial planning industry. Linda spent some time as a Client Service Administrator before her passion for helping clients provided her with an opportunity to move to Sydney. This allowed her to utilise her communication skills, financial planning knowledge, and experience as the Client Engagement Manager in a newly created phone-based advice team. This provided Linda with a thorough understanding of the theoretical and practical aspects of financial advice. After paying her dues in Sydney, she returned home to Brisbane and has continued to provide exceptional client experiences as an Administration Manager in financial services. Linda loves to cook, eat, and travel with friends and family – and does so at any and every opportunity she gets.

Belle Sakrzewski-Hetherington

Client Service Officer

Belle is the Client Services Officer at Nexus Private Wealth Management. Belle is currently completing her Diploma of Financial Planning and Bachelor of Laws (Honours). Belle’s childhood was spent in regional Queensland before moving to Toowoomba in 2012 where she attended boarding school and started her career in the financial services industry. As a client services officer Belle’s mission is simply to provide the best service she can for clients. Belle is passionate about health, fitness and the feline family.

Ryan Wood

Marketing Manager

Ryan is the Marketing Manager at Nexus Private Wealth Management and is responsible for communicating effectively with our client base and attracting new clients into the Nexus family. Ryan is a seasoned marketing strategist with an exhaustive background working with customer-focused businesses across Sydney and Brisbane, also encompassing the financial services sector. With over 10 years marketing experience and past 6 years developing digital strategies, Ryan is driven to deliver valuable, and informative content that not only educates consumers, but also affects a real change in their lives. With a keen interest in property renovation, self-proclaimed coffee snob and in constant pursuit of Brisbane’s best food joints, Ryan is always quick with a local recommendation.

Rufus

Nexus Private Mascot

As the team Mascot, Rufus (sometimes referred to as Woofy) is responsible for keeping up staff morale and providing on-demand cuddles to those who have had a challenging day at work.  Working from his home office, one of Rufus’ key capabilities is Asset Protection. With a keen nose and a sixth sense for good character, Rufus protects the Vick residence and its contents whilst his parents are ‘bringing home the bacon’. He makes no demands for his unconditional love, but won’t pass up an opportunity to be compensated by long walks or a belly scratch. Rufus enjoys the dogs life and in his spare time likes to chase possums, chew bones, and wrestle his feline sister, Hermione.
