What happens at my first appointment?
Your first consultation with Nexus is at no cost to you. We take this opportunity to get to know you, what you’re hoping to achieve, and the things that are important to you. We also use this time to explain all the things that may have an impact on your objectives. This means discussing the pros & cons, the costs involved, and the things you may not have considered. We’ll take the time to answer all of your questions as we believe that well informed clients make better financial decisions.
What’s your process?
After an initial phone conversation, we will sometimes ask you to complete an online Financial Questionnaire prior to your first meeting with a qualified Financial Adviser. This allows our team to review your circumstances, identify any issues or opportunities, and prepare for your appointment. This means we can get right into the things that are important to you and make the most of the time we have together. If you decide to partner with Nexus to achieve your goals, we’ll complete a diligent fact finding process and arrange a second meeting to present our official recommendations to you. Subsequent meetings maybe required depending on the complexity of your requirements.
Who do Nexus help?
We can help almost everyone as there are very few people’s financial circumstances that cannot be improved with a few ‘tweaks’. We do insist that you are at least over 18 years old, employed, and are open to receiving qualified professional advice. Examples of who we can help the most are: first home buyers, those who have made a start but are wondering what to do next, those looking to optimise their current position, those with complex financial needs, those that are approaching retirement or already retired, and those of you who already have high levels of personal or business worth. We love working with people who want to get ahead and appreciate the value of excellent professional advice.
How much are your fees if we proceed with financial advice?
The fee for our advice depends on the complexity of your needs and varies from client to client. We always quote upfront in a transparent fashion and will only proceed to the next steps if we can clearly identify an opportunity to significantly improve your financial position. Of course, the anticipated outcomes will always far outweigh the cost of implementation. We do not over diagnose and our staff are not rewarded for revenue generation. It’s fair to say that we are exceptionally competitive when it comes to pricing our individual services, however given we are a one-stop-shop, there are many benefits and efficiencies, for you and us, where multiple financial services are required. It’s a Win, Win!
Can I use Nexus for some Financial Services, but not all?
Yes. If you have an existing relationship with a professional who looks after some of your financial needs, but are looking for help in other areas, we are happy to assist. We will even work-in with your other advisers to ensure there’s no overlap or conflict in the recommendations we implement.
Can you provide financial advice to people outside of Brisbane?
Yes. These days through Skype and online technology we can provide financial advice to people regardless of where they’re located (provided they have a reliable internet connection). We have many interstate clients.
